(CRC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that rescues children from sexual abuse by building technology for law enforcement, free of charge, to track, arrest and prosecute child predators. Headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, we developed the world-renowned CRC Technology, which has been a powerful tool for law enforcement agencies around the globe. Our technology has improved the success rates of investigators and policing operations in the ongoing pursuit to identify, apprehend and convict individuals and networks associated with child sexual exploitation. Since our inception, we have integrated our innovative CRC Technology into law enforcement agencies in all 50 states and 96 countries worldwide, providing the most comprehensive view of where predators are downloading and sharing explicit content. The outcome of these efforts has produced a global force of investigators who collaborate to arrest child sexual predators and rescue innocent children from inhumane exploitation. For every predator CRC helps law enforcement apprehend, we prevent between 50 and 150 children from being sexually abused. To date, our technology has prevented the abuse of more than 690,000 children. SINCE INCEPTION :5Annual Report 2021Child Rescue Coalition 2021 was yet another challenging year. We have continued to develop brand-new tools, in collabora- tion with law enforcement, in order to identify more suspects and rescue more children. Already these new technologies are proving effective in the field. Helping to combat the horrific live streaming abuse of children in The Philippines including children rescued as young as 8 months old. CRC TECHNOLOGY & PROJECT NEMESIS Project NEMESIS continues to help tackle the immense amount of data derived from legal processes; this will allow for many more criminals to be brought to justice in the months and years to come. In addition, this new suite of tools allows law enforcement officers and agents to more easily investigate suspects trading child sexual abuse material on mobile phone “applications”. This is a sensitive multi-year project which will continue to require additional funding. In 2021 this new technology logged over 10 million messages in connection with child sexual abuse. IN 2021 ALONE, CRC PREVENTED OVER 27,000 ABUSE CASES. 7Annual Report 2021Child Rescue Coalition CRC DATA – PARTNERSHIPS FOR PROTECTION OUR DATA CAN BE UTILIZED BY COMPANIES TO PROTECT THEIR PLATFORMS FROM ILLEGAL USE “Externalizing CRC data, to make this unique information available to companies with any kind of online presence, not only allows them to keep bad actors off their platforms but helps to keep our investigative tools completely free of charge to law enforcement. I feel it is a worthwhile financial investment for any business to mitigate the risk of their brand being linked in with child sexual exploitation and ultimately to help protect children”. BILL WILTSE President, Child Rescue Coalition It is apparent that many countries and organizations such as the European Union (EU) are actively developing legislation which will compel companies to be proactive in detecting and reporting child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This welcome move towards companies becoming part of the solution in tackling this horrific crime means that we need to look at ways in which we can help them with our data and CRC Technology We have continued to offer partnership opportunities to companies and businesses who are interested in identifying criminals connected with child sexual abuse off their platforms. The data that CRC offers is unique because it is the result of our close working relationship with law enforcement. We process around 40 million records every day in relation to the trade of CSAM and we are able to make the relevant data points available to external partners as an ever changing daily secure feed.
